The diorama…

A diorama is a partially three dimensional full-size replica or scale model
of a landscape typically showing historical events, nature
scenes, cityscapes, etc. for purposes of education    (Wikipedia)

Oscar was issued with a school project this week – to prepare a diorama which captured a scene from his life.   The instructions were interesting: to involve the child “to the extent possible … at least in the conceptualisation” if not the actual project itself.

Private schools are competitively ruthless, with weak submissions being ridiculed and the parents promptly expelled from the Singapore bourgeoisie (aka mahjong night).

Anyway, Oscar seemed mightly proud of his (mum’s) creation…
